NAG’s Fidgety Agitation Will Have You Jingling Keys

Listen to a frantic track from the Atlanta punks new record.

Led by Brannon Greene, Atlanta's Predator have long been busting out rapturous and head kicking punk rock on labels such as Rob's House, Douchemsater and Scavenger of Death.

With Predator seemingly on hiatus, Greene, who has also played in GHB, Acid Freaks, Frantic, and Beat Beat Beat, is back with NAG, a newish three-piece who wring out the same kind of sweat and agitation.

With Greene on guitar and vocals, Tony Kozera on bass, and Ryan Fetter on drums, the band have just released a record on Total Punkthat's like the musical equivalent of fidgeting your keys while pacing frantically.

Check the B-Side "I'm So Small", that we are premiering today, that begins with a slow plod before exploding into rabid punk rock.

Noisey: What's the best thing about being in a band in Atlanta?
Brannon Greene: For me getting to know the other bands in Atlanta. I've made a lot of good friends. Plus I find it competitive. There's a lot of solid bands and artists.

Would you say NAG is a continuation of Predator?
I don't want it to be. NAG has it's own sound but I'm sure there's bleed through.

The A-side is called "False Anxiety". Is that in relation to living in the US right now?
The song is referring to a person who uses their "anxiety" to escape from responsibility etc.

The Nag 7" is available now on Total Punk.
