Young Thug Has Cancelled Another Australian Tour

The artist formerly known as Young Thug and currently known as SEX has cancelled his 2018 tour due to visa issues.

It's a tale as old as time: An international rapper announces Australian shows, only to cancel weeks before the tour is scheduled to begin. If you don't recall, over the past few years we've had cancellations from Tyler, The Creator (visa issues), Stormzy (reasons out of his control), Skepta (an "unexpected reason"), The Game (visa issues), Soulja Boy (reasons unknown), Chris Brown (visa issues), Lupe Fiasco (logistical issues) and Big Daddy Kane (scheduling issues). If that seems like a lot, please consider the fact that this list is only the cancellations I can remember off the top of my head.

Now, we can add another casualty to the list: Young Thug has cancelled his Australian tour, his second cancellation in two years after pulling out of Laneway 2017 at the last minute due to "visa issues".

In a statement, tour promoter Live Nation said that the reason behind the cancellation was the fact that Thugger was "unable to comply with the requirements for processing his Australian entry visa application". Hmmm.

Young Thug will be replaced by Adelaide MC Tkay Maidza at Sydney City Limits festival. Refunds will be issued to ticketholders for Thugger's Melbourne and Brisbane headline shows.
