More here.Divide and Dissolve, fresh from a massive jaunt around the U.S., (which included showcases at SXSW and a support slot on Poliça's tour) have returned to so-called Australia to tour their sophomore record Abomination. To mark the tour announcement, the experimental doom duo made up of Takiaya Reed (on sax, guitar and live effects) and Sylvie Nehill (on drums and live effects), are today sharing the video for "Resistance," which we're premiering in full above.The clip, filmed and edited by Anita Cummins, depicts Reed and Nehill using super soakers filled with urine to spray colonial monuments such as Captain Cook's Cottage. The clip's concept is funny, and watching Reed and Nehill gleefully desecrate these monuments of genocide is a blast, but at its core the video speaks to Divide and Dissolve's stated mission: to decolonise, dismantle white supremacist structures, and empower black and indigenous people.
