The last time we checked in with Gino Bambino from Gino and Goons, he was telling us about Florida life and playing an after party for the Spring Breakers crew.

Well Gino is back with some new bar room bangers to be released on and upcoming Gino and the Goons 7" on Pelican Pow Wow Records.

“Push Your Luck”, “I Love Fla” and a cover of DMZ's "Ball Me Out" are budget rock burners that prove that the Goons are masters at blown out punk. Imagine the Devil Dogs or Jonny Thunders playing in a humid as fuck Tampa bar and you will get some idea of the Goons live experience. Handclaps, spilled beer, false starts, and profanity. A top night out!

If you are in New Orleans on July 4 get a taste of the Gino and the Goons live experience at the Pelican Pow Wow II Fest where Gino will perform alongside Destruction Unit, Giorgio Murderer, Sick Thoughts, and Gary Wrong. It's going to be top weekend out!

We reconnected with Gino to find out about his new songs.

Noisey: “I Love Fla” is a homage to the Sunshine State. What are the biggest misconceptions about Florida?
Gino Bambino: That it's a good place to live. Ha! I kid. If you listen to the words though the only time I really enjoy the place is when it's cold outside. As you may or may not know is that it's rarely cold outside. The days I really dig aren't that many. But I'm not from here so it's hard to relate. I don't care for the beach or direct sunlight so it can be a drag.

“Ball Me Out” is a cover of a DMZ classic and also a distinctly American term. When was the last time you got balled out?
About two weeks ago. I've been fucking up lately. I don't normally I swear it but lately I've been on a streak.

The upcoming Pow Wow II looks nuts! What do you expect?
Blood. And lots of it.
