Kanye's New Book Is Kinda Weird So Far

Kanye West's return to Twitter is actually just the book he's writing "in real time."

Just last week, Kanye announced he would be exploring his talents as an author. In a Pret-a-Reporter interview with designer Axel Vervoodt, West announced it would be a "philosophy book" called Break the Simulation, detailing the public's obsession with capturing every moment rather than living in it. Today on Twitter, it turns out Kanye may not actually be going the traditional route (are we surprised there?), because West is just turning his Twitter into his publisher.

West returned to Twitter from an 11-month hiatus, rattling off random tweets about custom designed neck tats that bear an eerie similarity to Art Dystopia on Dafont.com. But in between that and previews of new Yeezy sneakers, West was using his timeline for some major inspiration.

This "book" also has some of life's most concerning thoughts, whittled down into 140 characters or less. "Cars have four wheels. Hoodies have hoods. It's amusing to me when someone says this is an original hoodie. Bro… it's a hoodie,"he tweets. To be honest, Kanye remixing his journey as an author on Twitter as "writing a book in real time" is something only Kanye could do. According to his philosophy, we've all been authors this entire time. I bet you'll think twice before you tweet now.
