The Lady Hampshire has sat on Parramatta Road in Camperdown for many years. For most of that time the old Sydney pub has been what you'd describe as 'shabby'. But a recent upgrade has brought feta, pea and mint salad to the menu and young customers with tattoos on their fingers into the front bar.

DMA's have been working on a new album in their studio above the Lady Hampshire and today release "Dawning", the first track since they dropped their ARIA-nominated debut album Hills End. The track, recorded with Kim Moyes of The Presets, continues the Sydney trio's love for melody and anthem-like pop.

"We feel like "Dawning" gives people the opportunity to decide what the song means to them," says frontman Tommy O'Dell in a media statement. "While the message of the song is quite dark, we also wanted create a piece of music that sounds uplifting and hopeful."

The band are set to play some Melbouren and Sydney shows and are heading back to the UK to support The Kooks on tour.
