The Bassholes, like many right now, have some strong feelings concerning Donald Trump occupying the Oval Office. The two piece are getting vocal about it too with the release of "(Fuck You) Wee Rooster", a stinging rebuke that attacks the 45th President of the United States with lyrics such as "big comb, small cock, how you got the hens to vote for you I'll not understand" and "fat lump, not my president, not my president".The track is now available on their Bandcamp page with all proceeds going to the National Lawyers Guild and/or the ACLU.Equally influenced by 30s country blues as they are 77 punk, the Bassholes began in Columbus, Ohio, in the the early 90s after the demise of roots punks the Gibson Bros. Led by Don Howland on guitar with Lamont Thomas on drums they crash and bash through a ragged punk rock that sounds a blend of Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music with the In the Red catalogue.Of course Donald Trump it going to hate it or brand it as 'fake news'.
