Come Party With Team Dynamite and Bailey Wiley at the Wellington Launch of NOISEY Season 2

To mark the arrival of NOISEY Season 2 and NZ Music Month, VICELAND and Noisey are throwing our first Wellington free party.

Some of Haz Huavi's earliest musical memories come from listening to the tunes his parents, uncles and aunties played as they partied in the garage. Bumping a mixture of old school soul, funk and R&B, it was music made to get people moving. "Stuff like Nolan Sisters, Eddie Lovette, Gregory Abbott, The Commodores plus endless early 90s R&B one hit wonders," explains the producer who is best known as Haz Beats, the beat maker for Auckland hip-hop crew Team Dynamite.

So it makes sense, that to mark the arrival of NOISEY Season 2 (feat. Migos, Young Thug, Killer Mike GTO and more) and celebrate NZ Music Month, VICELAND and Noisey have invited Haz and Team Dynamite along to play as part of first Wellington free party. Alongside Bailey Wiley and Kwoe, the Team Dynamite boys will take over Meow for a night of big time beats and hip-hop.

Entry is free but you need to RSVP here. Also a reminder that RSVP doesn't guarantee entry. We've had a big response for this one so get down early to avoid disappointment.

NOISEY Season 2 explores the diverse music scenes in Atlanta (featuring Migos, Young Thug, and Killer Mike), the Bay Area, Paris, Seoul, Nashville, and Lagos.

To get in the mood we asked Haz a few questions about his partying ways.

Noisey: What is the best party you have been to?
Haz: It was probably the one we threw at my old house on Franklin Road, Ponsonby.
I think it was called 'Fast Times At Franklin' and it was a 70s theme dress up. It was great. The best part was our house was surrounded by businesses so we didn't get noise control.

You lived and did some work in London. Did you hit any good parties there?
So many I didn't wanna come home! They ranged from daytime parties in a dirty alley with large homemade speaker systems, there was jerk chicken and ladies twerking, BYO rooftop parties that started at midnight which was like an appetizer to night club parties we were heading to after. They always ended so packed you that you couldn't dance because they had made a circle to watch people dirty dance/dry hump each other on the sticky floor. It was amazing and I'm glad I experienced it all

What is the best party anthem ever?
DMX's "Party Up (Up In Here)" or R-Kelly's "Bump & Grind".
