Noise Guru Pete Swanson Has Unloaded Some Amazing Old and New Material

An old Yellow Swans album and a collab tape with fellow noise artist Greh Holger are among the booty.

For a man known for his abrasive noise techno music, Pete Swanson is a pretty generous guy. On his twitter, he has been known to share dropbox links for people to download old albums, both solo and from his former noise duo Yellow Swans. To give you an example:

In more recent Swanson news, a collaboration with Chondritic Sound boss and fellow noise musician Greh Holger Dead Inside / Dead Outside is now streaming on the label's Bandcamp. "[This material is] culled from numerous recording sessions under dim green light," the description on the tape page reads, "[into] more extended formations of synth, tapes, microphones. Dead sound, modernistic concrète, and scattered pulses."

The physical release is out on cassette tape and serves as accompaniment to a highly limited edition lathe release Dead Sides, which is composed of different material described on the site as "two sides of distressed electronics, shivering tapes and cracked microphones" that the two recorded in advance of a collaborative performance at Masonic Theatre in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. You can purchase that here and stream the tape below.
