Itoa's Got Your Post-Everything Bass Thirst Quenched with "French Cola"

Twonked out dancehall, bass, IDM and D&B all in one fizzy cocktail.

UK's Bad Taste Records have been popping up on our radar again and again recently with bass-adjacent releases that are weird and minimal and totally unpredictable. Itoa's upcoming French Cola EP, out on February 16, is no different.

Based in a stripped back dancehall vibe but cheating influences from all over the musical spectrum, the two originals on the EP are supplemented by remixes from Touchy Subject, She's Drunk, and Moresounds. When placed together, the EP's five tracks foray everywhere from sped-up dubstep to tech-bass to grime. It's quite an incredibly varied selection for such a small package of cola.

What is "French Cola?" you ask? French Cola is the feeling you have when you successfully allay premature ejaculation. It's the feeling that comes after running a marathon…When you haven't left your couch. It's the feeling of giving up smoking when you've got a spliff in your hand. It's what comes when you realize that you are the most interesting man in the world. Have a listen:
