Vikings and 49ers Fans Brawl After Game

Vikings and 49ers fans brawl in Levi's Stadium parking lot. Welcome back, NFL fans!

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Vikings 20-3 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara last night, marking the end of the first week of NFL action. What better way to finish off the return of football than a bunch of goons drunk on $13 beers and testosterone beating the shit out of each other? A fan uploaded this video to his Facebook account and tried to provide some backstory in hopes of defending the 49ers fans seen kicking and punching a Vikings fan in the face as he rolled around on the ground.

Here's the full story:
The Viking fan in the video and a 49er fan NOT in the video were talking smack to each other, getting into each others faces. A lot of fans from both sides were telling both people to stop and just walk to their cars. The 49er fan then walked away from the situation and that's when the Viking fan may have got a little cocky. The Viking fan turned around and addressed everyone behind him (mostly 49er fans). He said " what's up, any of you fuckers want some?!" At that point everyone went silent for 2 seconds then as the Viking fan was turning around to walk away, the 49er fan in the black (at the beginning of the video who threw the first punch) tackled him to the ground. That's where the video starts.

Obviously, there is not a single defensible action in this scene. These are grown ups acting like a bunch of assholes. The deck was stacked against them to begin with, too; being the late game in a Monday Night double header meant there was that much more time to get tuned up before the game and lose all touch with reality. Obviously, we don't know for sure how much alcohol played a role in this, but it's a pretty safe bet that it played some role.

So it was only a matter of time before one of those "fuckers" decided that yes, he actually does "want some." But if we are going to always fight at major sporting events—and we are going to always fight at these things, you could probably find a similar video for the following 16 weeks of the season—can we at least not have six dudes beating up on one guy who is on the ground while one scrawny "security guard" tries to break it up? I know we all love the anguished screams of a woman pleading for everyone to "stop it!!" but it might be more fun not to viciously attack each other?
