Black Atlass Is Getting On The Map

The singer who should have been a male model is coming from Montreal and is ready to dominate R&B.

What do you get when you take a Montreal singer who possesses impossibly exaggerated facial features and give him the backing of one of Brooklyn’s best alternative labels while sprinkling the whole thing with endorsements from the world’s biggest fashion houses? You get Black Atlass, the French Canadian crooner who is poised to take the fuck over in 2014.

In recent years, Canada has become synonymous with producing talented R&B artists. But the Drakes and Weeknds of the world have been coming out of the Toronto, which is known more for being a city of glass, steel and business than it is for being a creative hub for artists. Montreal has always been the cultured one, the place where you can admire classic architecture by day and stay out drinking fancy cocktails with kids who would be considered underage elsewhere in North America by night.

There’s no reason why Black Atlass won’t be a certified star by the end of the calendar year. He’s got the support of heavyweight brands behind him and his name is already a common phrase in the modern influencer’s lexicon. Watch him looks badass while being disinterested in every female he meets in his new video for “Blossom”.
