Nobody's fucking ambitious anymore. Times are tight and so is money, so I understand why Band X isn't really going for it with their pet project rock opera / / action figure line / concept record. But it's good to hear that there are a few bands carrying the torch.Following the line that has included people like Master P and Cam'ron, Treasure Fleet are preparing to release The Sun Machine, a new narrative film featuring music from the band as released by Recess Records. The film will feature "The View from Mt Olympus," available in video form above and bringing to mind ambitious bands like ELO and Yes, but without all the jammy nerdout bullshit. Check it out, and look for the record on February 10th.
