'People Just Do Nothing' is Here, and It's As Great As You'd Have Hoped

A four part series has premiered exclusively on BBC iPlayer

Everyone's favourite MC and DJ combo are back with a bumper four part series of People Just Do Nothing, commissioned for BBC Three's new online platform.

For those that are encountering Grindah and his hapless sidekick DJ Beats for the first time, People Just Do Nothing is a mockumentary that goes behind the scenes of Kurupt FM - the second most popular pirate radio station in West London - that plays the finest in UK garage and drum 'n' bass from an anonymous council flat in Brentford.

After originally being talent spotted online,  Allan 'Seapa' Mustafa (Grindah), Hugo Chegwin (DJ Beats) and Steve Stamp's show pokes fun in the most British of ways at the Ralphie-wearing gun fingaz grime culture that is taken so seriously by its supporters whilst also being subjected to biting satire at the same time. PJDN revels in UK's long history and obsession with pirate radio, and serves as a well-timed side note to the recent Dazed Music Nation films on UK garage and jungle.

The four part series is available to view on BBC iPlayer now.
