Lucas Chambon is the Midas of Chill-Out

Everything Frenchman Lucas Chambon touches turns to funk. Whether it's The Fugees, Miley Cyrus, or his spankin' new Instinct EP, his effortless ability to slow things down a notch while bringing the soulful melodies is notable. The EP, released for free on the endlessly altruistic Los Angeles based free label Next Wave, is threatening to tear Chambon from the underground and straight into your next pool party.

Of the three tracks, "Citadel" is the funky one, "At Dawn," the loungey one, and "Turquoise" his take on progressive house. We can't tell if we should languor on some poolside divan or put our hands in the air. I suppose we could do both.
