Game of Thrones swept the Emmys on Sunday night, winning a total of 12 awards, including the title of top drama for the second year in a row, the Associated Press reports.The show has now been awarded 38 Emmys over the course of its six-season run—the most for any television show in Emmy history.The previous record was held by the sitcom Fraiser with 37 awards, but Game of Thrones grabbed the Emmy crown on Sunday in LA and sent Fraiser and Niles and whatever their dad's name is scurrying back to Seattle in shame.Game of Thrones wasn't the only television great to break a record last night. Julia Louis-Dreyfus won her sixth Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, pushing her out in front of what was a three-way tie between her, Candice Bergen, and Mary Tyler Moore.The seventh season of Game of Thrones is in production now and expected to hit HBO next summer.Read: A New George R.
