Lena Dunham and Spike Jonze Made Avicii's New Video

It aired last night at the first-ever Youtube Music Awards.

What happens when you team Spike Jonze and Lena Dunham with Avicii? An existential love story at the rave, duh. In this clip from last night's YouTube Music Awards, the voices of our generation teamed up to create a live music video set to Avicii's hit singles "Hey Brother," "You Make Me," and "Wake Me Up." The whole thing plays like a lost scene from Girls, starring hot-to-death former tween star Vanessa Hudgens as well as Michael Shannon (best known as Nelson Van Alden on Boardwalk Empire), who surprisingly totally resembles the Swedish DJ superstar (despite their considerable age difference). Host Jason Schwartzman also makes an appearance, along with a sequined alien tank top, kandi bracelets, and a surprise ending.
