Listen to Dizz1's Everyday Grind EP and Everything Will Stop Sucking

All you need is some ridiculously fresh beats to forget the unbearable blah-ness of being.

Everything happens so much all the time. It really is the worst. Life is just one perpetual loop of eating, shitting, and feeling, punctuated by occasional bursts of oh-cool-this-isn't-so-bad that only serve to remind you of the unbearable blah-ness of being.

But don't fret. Reprieve is here, in the form of a wickedly good EP called…Everyday Grind (the irony is not lost to us). Australian producer and instrumental beat scene mainstay Dizz1—often described as a "beast behind the kit"—is RBMA graduate, has laid down tracks for Africa Hitech and Roots Manuva, performed at the Sydney Opera House… and is occasionally known to use his car horn mic'd in the local supermarket carpark wearing nothing but his undies (hot).

Recently taking his arsenal of drum machines to Tru Thoughts (home to Zed Bias and Quantic), Dizz1's first EP on the label is stacked with an all-star cast, including Warrior Queen, Aloe Blacc, and Om'Mas Keith—who happened to be one of his mentors at RBMA.

Suffice to say, every single cut is a head-caver, stacked with the kinds of hard-hitting rhythms that still manage to sound effortlessly nimble that Dizz1 has built his name on. Contrary to what it's title may suggest, Everyday Grind's freshness is pretty much the opposite of mundane.
