Anquan Boldin Gets Lit Up, Defender Takes Worst Of It

Anquan Boldin took a nasty hit from Ryan Clark and shook it off like it was nothing. Clark took the brunt of the impact and got penalized for it, too.

On what would be the game-winning drive, Anquan Boldin caught a pass from Colin Kaepernick leading him down the seam and right into the path of Ryan Clark. Clark drilled him but Boldin only paused for a second to collect himself, and then continued on his way before finally getting taken down by Bashaud Breeland.

Boldin's made a career of not only having great hands, but of also being fearless and shaking off or absorbing vicious hits just like this one. The  hit didn't just look bad, it sounded pretty nasty, too.

Clark, who was also penalized for hitting the defenseless Boldin, immediately crumpled to the ground. He has a history of concussions and remained on the turf for a while as trainers looked him over, but eventually walked off under his own power. The two men later did a little bro hug to show there were no hard feelings.

The penalty put the 49ers on the Washington 19-yard line and another ten-yard pass to Boldin set up the go-ahead touchdown run by Carlos Hyde. Boldin finished the day with nine catches for 137 and San Francisco won 17-13.
