Get Shooked With Low End Beasts Black Deity

When it comes to dense riffs the Brisbane band punch above their weight.

It starts with a low rumble. Sitting at the back of the bus with headphones blasting, head lowered and hoodie pulled down tight. It takes about 45-minutes from the shopping centre depot to the stop downtown. 30-minutes with an express, but time doesn't really matter when you've got heavy punk vibes flowing through your head.

Brisbane's Black Deity punch above their weight. There's only three of them but their sound brings that dank and sweaty feel of a crammed house show. Sure there are strong Sabbath and Motorhead influences but there's also the raw and DIY feel of early Brisbane punk bands like Fun Things and The Leftovers.

Following a single on Sexy Romance records, the boys are back with their debut LP due later in 2017. Listen to the first track below and make your bus journey feel and sound that little bit better.

Black Deity's LP is available late 2017 on Sexy Romance records.

Black Deity play Sydney's Romance in Paradise Festival April 21 at Marrickville Bowls club.
