The Red Bull Music Academy is known as an essential platform for young and emerging producers to collaborate and hone their chops through workshops, lectures and festivals around the world. This spring, RBMA will head to New York to host its annual music festival, spanning across nearly four weeks of jam-packed showcases, and premiere performances from the likes of ANOHNI, Robert Hood, Dizzee Rascal and a slew of rising New York talent.

One of the showcases we're most looking forward to however, is a faceoff between global club music crews NAAFI and NON, featuring performances by Chino Amobi, Nkiski, Elysia Crampton, Rabit, Gaika, Lao, Mexican Jihad, and others. Both of the collectives are quickly gaining momentum for their genre-bending productions, tightly-curated rosters, and in-house art direction. That performance will be held on May 20, and the location is TBA.

At the RBMA Bass Camp, a four-day mini RBMA event held in Santiago de Chile last month, Chilean producer and NAAFI member Imaabs collaborated with cellist Felicia Morales and multi-instrumentalist Lia Nadja for a track called "Extravío." The crashing and elegiac mesh of electronic manipulations from Imaabs are met with beautiful acoustic performances by Morales and Nadja. Check out the track below, and look forward to the RBMA festival to take over NYC in April and May.
