"Life is just a party, and parties weren't meant to last."—Prince, "1999"

Fans are still in mourning over Prince's untimely death in April of this year. The rock star, actor, humanitarian, and all-around innovator was one of the most important and influential American musicians.

While the world is a poorer place without the Purple One, at least we'll get to celebrate his legacy with a new documentary starring a whole bunch of famous people.

On Tuesday, German film company Ascot Elite Entertainment Group announced a new documentary about Prince called Prince: R U Listening? featuring Billy Idol, Bono, Sheila E, Mick Jagger, and Lenny Kravitz, ScreenDaily reports.

The doc will include interviews with former backing band members Dez Dickerson and André Cymone and paints the picture of the pop star's early work and rise to fame. Michael John Kirk will direct, and the film is planned to be released in the first half of 2017 in Europe. The US release date hasn't been set yet.

A four-day music-filled celebration of Prince at Paisley Park has also been planned for 2017, right around the anniversary of his death. The event will feature Prince's backing bands the Revolution and the New Power Generation, as well as his associates Morris Day and the Time. Tickets are on sale now.
