Pious Faults Are a Link Between Brisbane 2016 and Dischord Records 1982

Listen to the band's debut cassette on the always great Tenth Court label.

Pious Faults played their first live show just over a month ago when they opened for Auckland's Centre Negative at Brisbane's The Haunt. There is a You Tube video of the performance floating about somewhere but you can now tap straight into the source with their debut cassette that has been released on Tenth Court.

There's not much info about the young  four-piece which is most refreshing. From what I can gather they are pretty raw but make up for this with frenzied energy and ambition.

Some of the songs on the tape sound like they wouldn't be out of place on Dischord records classic 1982 Flex Your Head compilation while others such as "Complete Disregard" and "Useless Body" are like Melbourne band Cereal Killer doing more ferocious and aggressive Tyvek covers.

Whatever, we are all for young unknown bands from Queensland doing raw and busted punk rock. Keep up the good work!

Pious Faults' self-titled cassette is available now from Tenth Court.

Catch Pious Faults in Brisbane this Friday with Thigh Master, Orlando Furious and Pull Out Kings at the Empire Hotel.
