Texas Southern's Malcom Riley Hammered on Hard Foul at the Rim

Texas Southern's Malcolm Riley wound up with his head bandaged after a violent foul and fall in the final seconds of the SWAC championship.

Texas Southern beat Southern 62-58 for the SWAC championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament, but junior forward Malcolm Riley left the game with his head bandaged after a hard foul in the final seconds. Trelun Banks was charged with a flagrant 2 and ejected from the final 25 seconds for his foul that was more of a tackle than anything else, but that wasn't only blow Riley suffered. After the hit, Riley was laying prone on the court and Tre Lynch, also pursuing the play, wound up falling on him—Macho Man flying elbow-style—forcing his head into the court. Riley left the game but was later shown smiling with teammates on the bench so hopefully he was just shaken up for a bit.
