The Chicago rapper also spoke about his social activism during the interview.

Chance the Rapper stopped by The View today, and during the interview, the Chicago rapper spoke about his hometown's recent spike in violence, citing the city's segregation and failing school system as major contributors. He also spent time talking about Kanye West and Stevie Wonder's influence on his career. When asked about the recent racially-motivated vandalism of NBA superstar LeBron James' LA home, Chance said: "It's kind of a common pattern in America's history when people that look like me get to a certain point of success…people wanna remind you how they view you as a second class citizen. It's not much you can do other than keep thriving." Watch the full conversation above.
