Watch Slick Don Spit Grime Bars on a New Lenkemz Banger

"Can't See U" reaches Odd Future levels of weird.

I remember the first time I heard grime.

It was when I was still ordering CDs from the Internet, and it was a DJ Semtex mixtape called Grime Wave that arrived in the mail in a padded manila envelope. It was filled with burners from when grime was really silly—when MCs made nonsensical rhythmic noises with their mouths and called it a hook (see Flirta D's "Warp Speed"), plus some deranged avant-garde shit (see Trim's "Boogeyman," ft. Riko, Wiley, Newham Generals) and anthems like Lethal Bizzle's "Pow."

Lenkemz and Slick Don's "Can't See U" video brings me back to that special time in 2006 when grime first slapped me in the face and told me to empty my pockets or I'd get a shank in the waist. Plus, this video reaches Odd Future levels of weird, so here's to your strong stomach. Thanks Slit Jockey!

Max Pearl wishes you guys would pitch us more grime videos that we could air on our Youtube channel - @maxpearl
