Rakitic's Tap-In is Nice, But Neymar's Assist... Good Lord

You could call it an Assist d'Or.

MAGIC! Pure MAGIC from @NEYMARJR to set up @ivanrakitic #LaLiga https://t.co/5XXLXnm4tp

Neymar might not have won the Balon d'Or earlier this month, but make sure you pencil him in for the near future. The young Brazilian has taken his game to whole new levels recently, scoring what was arguably the goal of the year if not the decade. And now he's gone and provided what is surely the assist of the year, if not this century. (Permit me some hyperbole, as I stand in awe of this piece of footballing majesty.)

In today's matchup between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, Neymar received a pass at mid field, changed gears at the drop of a hat, and took a string of defenders on a magic carpet ride to the end line, where he sent in an incisive pass that had commentator Ray Hudson saying that he had "better coordination than a pole dancer." He split a solid four defenders to find Ivan Rakitic for a tidy little tap-in. Assist d'Or.
