Listening to This FYFE Remix is The Most Romantic Thing You’ll Do All Week

The London native takes on Leon T. Pearl’s “Came Here For You” in stunning fashion.

Leon T. Pearl has held my attention firmly in his grasp since the release of "Take You To Market" on Disclosure-run label Method Records a little over a year ago. Between his whimsical production, utterly unique voice, and apparently being the only British artist not to label his work deep house, it's not hard to love the guy. Listening to his music will bring you vivid memories of the following:

1.     Trips to the seaside

2.     Late night drives with your crush

3.     Growing up

4.     A pocket full of caramels

5.     Being a lover, not a fighter

6.     Walking home from school by yourself

7.     Your first breakup

8.     Your first makeup

9.     And much more

Leon's ability to evoke so many different memories is what keeps me replaying his music; each time I come back to a track it takes on new meaning, and that's truly something special. You can understand my excitement when after a seven-month hiatus, he released "Came Here For You," a tune that will find a welcome home in any lover's playlist. It seems as though I wasn't the only one to think so; FYFE, one of Britain's most-compelling new artists, has put the finishing touches on his remix and as you'd expect it's a beautiful, emotive affair. We asked Leon why he chose to work with the London-based musician and he told us, "Ever since I heard "Solace" for the first time, FYFE has been on repeat in my studio. His vocal style is super distinct and his songwriting is incredibly heartfelt, so the idea of him re-working "Came Here For You" in his own way seemed like a great shout. He has really made it his own and took it to a place I would never have imagined."
