100% Return With an EP That Celebrates Australian Dance and DIY Culture

It's time to punch the air and hit the dance floor, 100% are back.

As 2016 finally starts to pack up its crap and get the fuck out of this party called life, we hold the door open for 2017 who enters with a brand new 100% vinyl release under arm.

You Are 100% is the newest four-track EP for the Brisbane trio, and like their sold out self-titled cassette that came out Moontown Records just over a year ago, this pops with traces of 80s pop, 90s House, and Italo Disco.

"Nikita", reminds us of another of our favourite synth pop acts of 2016, CC Dust, the Portland duo that features the vocals of Maryjane Dunphe, from Olympia punk band Vexx. Like Dunphe, 100% vocalist Lena Danger has a commanding voice that both sashays and teeters with emotion.

Combined with the synth, bass and drum machine of Chloe Baxter and Grace Stevenson it becomes something special. This is music that is deeply ingrained in DIY culture and dancing your arse off.

Music that is fun but forthright.

'Your Are 100%' is available Dec 20 through Moontown Records.
