Listen to Pinkish Black's Growth from The Great Tyrant with Two New Songs

Check out two new songs from Pinkish Black's new record 'Bottom Of The Morning' and The Great Tyrant's final release 'The Trouble With Being Born.'

Pinkish Black is the real deal. Three years ago, their self-titled debut was a dense mix of transformative metal spanning every genre or itch you could want. The band is now releasing their third LP, Bottom Of The Morning through Relapse Records, and it's going to be a fucking crusher. The first song off the record, "Brown Rainbow" is a testament to what the band can do in creating a cohesive unit of a track. From the song's onset, the listener is flanked by an electronic sounding texture that becomes otherworldly and strange. It's a new take on the way the band constructs songs and forms, moving into brighter but just as compelling territory.

In addition to the new record, the band is also putting out a companion release from their prior incarnation, The Great Tyrant, titled The Trouble With Being Born. It's a very intense look back to the duo's beginnings, and serves as the final release in the band's sludgy and strange repetoire. If you're a Pinkish Black fan, it's an essential listen.
