Wild Smiles: "Take Me Away"

Wild Smiles, have fashioned enough surf-rock-come-grunge brew for a VW camper van voyage to the west cost and back.

Hampshire doesn’t have much road trip sex appeal. Something about the M3 service station and its rock hard Mars bars doesn’t quite scream Route 101 escapism. Yet, Winchester-based trio, Wild Smiles, have fashioned enough surf-rock-come-grunge brew for a VW camper van voyage to the west cost and back. “Take Me Away” is a froth of ramshackle chorus outcries and Californian-tinged guitaring fashioned like J Mascis and Mikey Love co-piloting us to some babe-laden spot on Newport beach.
