Watch Violent Soho Terrorize an Old Folks Home in Their Video for "Like Soda"

The Australians dominate at bocce and mack on old ladies.

Australia’s Violent Soho made one of the most rewatchable videos two years back for their song “Covered in Chrome.” Done entirely in one shot just as the sun was setting, it seemed like a simple premise where some dudes rock out in a house, flip their hair, and light shit on fire. But underneath that, there was some clever camera trickery going on that made you want to hit “replay” when it was over. Plus that chorus was catchy enough to even get stuck in Mark Hoppus’ head, and if it was good enough for Mark Hoppus, surely it was good enough for you unwashed masses. “Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah ahhhh ooooooh.”

Now, as they prepare a new album, Violent Soho is back with a video for “Like Soda.” They didn’t go for another one-taker, but instead invaded a retirement community (a.k.a. a senior citizens center a.k.a an old folks home). Watch the four of them as they dominate at bocce, mack on old ladies, and snort prescription medicine. “Like Soda” will make you call your Nana to make sure she’s doing OK at her retirement home and to warn her about marauding bands of party-friendly Australians.
