Marian Hill sounds like the name of a care home in a sleepy satellite town outside of the M25. The sort of place where you send people to die. However, it’s also the name of an electronic duo from Philadelphia, which is sort of fitting, because although they don’t make music for funerals, they do craft pop songs undertoned with hauntingly spectral sounds. “Lovit”, the follow up to their massive first single, “Whisky”, sees the group reign in blues influences over a droning infectious beat.
