Dance and Cry Awkwardly to SOPHIE's "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye"

PC Music-affiliated enigma SOPHIE drops his kinkily-packaged singles compilation Product in November and he's slowly been releasing new material. Last month it was the traptastic "MSMSMSM" and now "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye". It's the closest SOPHIE's come to repeating the weirdo-pop magic of breakout single "Bipp," drawing from the heartbroken cyborg vibes of Japanese vocaloid music (that wistful "hmm" in the first verse) while still never quite letting that beat drop to send the whole thing into trance heaven. The song is prime PC Music: cute, catchy, unsettling, and above all a compulsively listenable slice of futuristic pop. Stream it below.
