UberBOAT is About to Make Island Hopping Super Easy

Croatia is the first to get the service. So how about Indonesia?

This article originally appeared on Amuse.

If you're planning to spend your summer island hopping around the Dalmatian Coast between Croatia's 1,244 islands but aren't fortunate enough to have a boat of your own, then worry not—UberBOAT is about to change the game.

Ferries aren't fun and yacht charters can be insanely expensive, so as of 26 June UberBOAT will be taking care of holidaymakers in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik at the touch of a button.

With the ability to choose between two different speedboat sizes (UberBOAT or XL) users can choose a nearby pickup point to meet their captain, who will also provide them with lifejackets and bottled waters (five star rating for sure).

If you're planning on island hopping, then it's definitely worth bumping up your service to XL as the service also offers the option of half or full day, meaning you can hop between islands at ease for the duration. But beware, the price is determined by mileage and fuel, so a full day can set you back around €980 ($1,097 USD)—make sure you split that fair with friends before you hit the mainland.
