You Need To Binge Watch Netflix's First Anime Series This Weekend

In January, Netflix released its very first anime series, Devilman Crybaby. Based on the 1972 Japanese manga Devilman by Go Nagai, the series doesn’t disappoint. It stays true to the violent and demented tone of the manga. Its lead character Ryo Asuka is a student who turns into an overly sympathetic half-demon, half-human. After gaining immense power, he struggles to come to terms with his new identity and he tries to save the world from intruders. The series is pretty graphic—be prepared for mutilation, slaughter, and lots of blood. If you think anime is kiddies stuff, watch this and get back to me. —Yudhistira Agato

If you ever wonder what partying in Northern Europe is like, come to FJ on 7 this Saturday. Dekadenz is bringing Manfredas, a Lithuanian-based producer who’s also the organizer of the most popular party in the city of Vilnius called Smala. The Indonesia's Women March is bigger than ever this year. The organizers have compiled eight main demands of the march that you can read here. On Saturday, the march will take place in Jakarta, Salatiga, Sumba, and Malang. On Sunday, it will be in Denpasar, Bandung, Lampung, Serang, Surabaya. If you live in Malang, you can march on Monday. The two-day festival has a lot to offer, so plan ahead. There are various workshops to choose from, from painting to embroidery. Then there's an exhibition of postcards you get to bring home with a minimum donation of Rp 20,000. There are acoustic performances by Achi Hardjakusuma n Friends, duo Attar and Rahel, and Bandung-based Garhana, as well as poetry readings by local artists (and Miss Indonesia 2018.)
