It's almost certain that Blake Griffin thought he was tossing an alley-oop to DeAndre Jordan, but it is actually certain—like, two-plus-two-equals-four certain—that the alley-oop went to Glen "Big Baby" Davis. Obviously it did not result in any sort of activity around the otherwise wide open rim. This is only noteworthy because of the expectations created by a DeAndre Jordan alley-oop, contrasted by what actually happened here. Which is this:DeAndre Jordan actually ended Brandon Knight's brief journey on our blue planet with an alley-oop dunk. It was beautiful and glorious. What Big Baby did here could more accurately be described as "the world's easiest rebound because it was actually a pass from his teammate." And yet for some reason, I am watching it just as much as the the Knight clip. To be fair, Davis did kick it out to Jamal Crawford for a three-pointer. To be unfair, maybe mistaking Big Baby Davis for DeAndre Jordan is why the Clippers pissed away this series and are currently being run out of the gym in Game 7?Or maybe not.
