The year 2016 will forever go down as the worst in the history of ever. (I mean, maybe there were a couple of bad years during the Black Plague or something, but come on. This is rough.) Add into the mix of various political disasters and celebrity deaths, the tragic news that British pop musician George Michael passed away at the young age of 53 on Christmas—on Christmas, for Christ's sake.

While his hits have ranged from unequivocal pop masterpieces such as "Faith" and "Freedom," it's hard to avoid the timely reference to "Last Christmas" right now. So, in tribute, the ever-vocal Manchester United fans at Old Trafford started up a round of "Last Christmas" in tribute to their country's native son. And while the tempo is a little hot, the unison gives it a chilling kind of effect. RIP, George Michael.
