Watch Power Throttle a Raw Version of ‘Serpent City’ in a Warehouse Studio

The Melbourne three-piece plug into classic 70s Aussie rock and menacing punk.

Not since Venom has a band name been as appropriate as Power. The Melbourne three-piece plug  in to a supply of classic Aussie rock with a good dose of punk and NWOBHM. When we chatted to vocalist/guitarist Nathan Williams he explained that the band tries to pay homage to "Australian hard rock/boogie, glam, heavy metal and Japanese psych". Listening to their debut album Electric Glitter Boogie it's pretty obvious that they have succeed on accounts.

A new video of the band performing "Serpent City", a track from the album, proves how much power the band have on the live front too.

Filmed as part of Pissfartin' Aroun', a series of videos shot at Piss Fart records' Melbourne headquarters, the video is as raw as the track.

As Piss Fart honcho Adam Ritchie explains, "There is a lack of videos online portraying a band's true sound and I'm sick of seeing shitty phone recordings popping up of Australian bands letting me down. Gone are the days of GTK and Beat Sessions long live the new wave of aural vision and always RAW, REAL and NO BIG DEAL."

'Electric Glitter Boogie' is available from Cool Death Records.
