The So So Glos' Video for "A.D.D. Life" Does Just What it Says on the Tin

The Brooklyn boys shake up punk snarls, pop nous, nudity, and some really icky medical footage in their new video.

So So Glos shot by Matthew Greeley

Man. You gotta love the So So Glos. No really, that's an order. We've been writing about them for years now because their combination of bratty vocals and pop nous spiked with a punk snarl makes for an I'll-take-another-and-another-and-another kind of cocktail. Of course you can tell by the title, this latest song is applicable to you, or me, or that person sitting opposite you grumpily typing too hard and flipping anxiously between browsers just trying to keep abreast of it all. BECAUSE WHY?! Time to unplug. Sonically this song brings together a verse that's very British oi! oi! punk with a chorus that's pure pop punk.

"The video for ‘A.D.D. Life’ is another collaborative effort with director Chris Elia whom we previously worked with on the anti-social media anthem, "Speakeasy.” ‘A.D.D. Life’ is a tribute to overstimulation," explains Levi Zaru (a.k.a. Aleksander So So Glo). "Using frenetic editing, the video is a manic snapshot of a day in the life of a So So Glo. It features studio footage from the making of our upcoming record, Kamikaze (with producer John Reis), stock footage of various medical procedures, and the craziness that one encounters on a surreal trip in an age of sensory overload. It's got morning commutes and birthday suits. It's a true Coney Island of the mind."

"We've got the ill communication with nothing to say," they sing. Well put.
