PREMIERE: Cali Rapper Nocando Gets Love Across the Pacific in "Osaka"

The Los Angeles spitter revisits some of his favorite haunts overseas.

For over a decade, Leimert Park legend Nocando has made a name for himself with snarky, sharp-tongued rhymes on a collection of EPs and solo albums, side projects (Bomb Zombies with producer Nobody, Flash Bang Grenada with Cali rap vet Busdriver), and group outings with Hellfyre Club, the clique of lovable Cali rap eccentrics he founded. Today he shares the video for "Osaka," a spirited loosie featuring jazzy production from Virginia up-and-comer Hovey Benjamin. The clip, directed by Conrad Curtis, finds our "rap game Kafka on the bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka" to rock shows for rapt audiences and chew the scenery around a couple sketchy yakuza run areas around the city. Stream "Osaka" below and grab No's last studio effort Jimmy the Burnout here if you haven't already.
