Noisey Beats 1 will introduce you to a couple new artists, like Qualiatik. She's the multimedia artist Arielle Hermann, who received a grant at her university to investigate the neurological interactions between music and the brain. Since then, she's been finding ways to bridge neuroscience in her own music, creating stunning electronic soundscapes to express the human condition. We'll be talking to her about her studies and music. The other artist you'll meet is Nashville's Mike Floss. Typically, you might expect a country or bluesey artist out of the Music City, but Mike shows why you shouldn't ever count out its rap scene. We'll preview his new project Don't Blame the Youth including our exclusive premiere of his new track "Kerosene."
