"I woke up like this!" Ferreal Bey? You did not.

Emotistyle - "Morning Face."

"I woke up like this! WE FLAWLESS." Ferreal Bey? You did not. I love you, but that ass, that eyeliner, the selection of accessories, the perfection of fierce face—that takes time. Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who's sampled on this Beyoncé track, holds forth on feminism, double standards, and societal expectations, meanwhile Bey insists the bitches (men) bow down, cos ladies—we flawless.

Molly Austin and Shamikah Martinez—the ladies behind the hella lolz YouTube channel Emotistyle—are for sure appreciative of Bey's pro-femme thrust, while recognizing the literal impossibility of her stance. Let's not forget, this is a woman who rolls down the cereal aisle with two 454 wind machines blasting in her face so that her hair gets just the right level of air. (Although props to her in the "Flawless" video for creating her own follicular volume by headbanging like Amon Amarth.)

But back to the point. Yesterday the Emotistyle mavens decided to call attention to this disparity by unleashing their own take on "Flawless" entitled "Morning Face." Their reasons run like this: Molly: "The idea of waking up flawless was pretty funny by itself as we both suffer from severe morning face. Morning face is when your face is puffy for all kinds of hours after you wake up. Then we started to think about all the silly things we do to ourselves just to look presentable. The truth is that we are fine the way we are."

Shamikah: "I've been a fan of Beyoncé since she was sliding around stages in denim Destiny's Child jumpers and I really love the new album. But at the same time, watching the videos and hearing girls say, "Ugh, I wish I looked like that in the morning," made me feel like doing a version that celebrated NOT looking flawless in the morning. Glamour can be really fun, but so can your bare face if you embrace it. And the cold hard truth is that until now Molly and I have NEVER filmed an Emotistyle video without any make up on—so I think this was good for us too."

Molly did sustain a neck injury while headbanging like James Hetfield for this video. SUFFER FOR YOUR FUNNY, PEOPLE! You should follow these ladies on Twitter - @emotistyle.
