Listen to a New Song from Caves, One of the UK’s Most Underrated Bands

Caves sure know how to kick off an album. On last year’s criminally underrated LP, Betterment, the Bristol band blasted into their first song with the lyric “I don’t care, I don’t care, go fuck yourself!” Nothing like immediately being told to go fuck yourself to get your attention.

Now, Caves are releasing a follow up, Leaving, and haven’t lost their gift for grabbing your instant attention. While they’re not telling you to tell you to go fuck yourself on the album’s opener, “Sad,” they do belt out a beckoning chant of “WOAH!” and you’ve got no choice but to pulled in. The band dropped the song out of nowhere last week, so in case you missed it, take a moment to let that sink in:

Today, we’ve got a new song from Leaving called “Oh Antonio” and it’s more of what people have come to love about Caves: a perfect combination of dueling male/female vocals delivered at full volume and just fucked up enough to be perfect.

Leaving is out on November 3 and you can pre-order it from Specialist Subject Records. Caves are going out on tour soon with Andrew Jackson Jihad, despite not having a permanent drummer (would you like to be Caves’ drummer?). Anyway, catch them in the UK and then at Fest:
