EdredóN
When a band's stated influences include Mogwai, Neu!, Air, and Jacques Brel, you can tell they've spent as much time in the bar as they have in the practice space. EdredóN were formed as a post-rock project in Madrid four years ago, but it wasn't until the addition of some vintage synths (and drum machines, and a sampler, and a bajillion Casio keyboards, and loads of effects pedals) that things really got interesting.
In the last year, EdredóN’s on and offstage antics have inspired a legion of fans. With eight-minute tracks that range from white noise, to schizoid arpeggios, to chanson française (yes, all in the same song), this is a band made for that blurry period between five-thirty and whenever-o’clock in the morning. It sort of goes without saying then that they're all regulars at Madrid's last halfway decent afterhours bar, Red Rum.
We spent a sweaty twenty four hours with them in Madrid, where they played a sold out show in Malasaña's legendary Nasti Club, and gave us some tips on how to drink for free.
