Everybody loves Cologne-based electronic duo VIMES. Like Chilly Gonzales, who describes himself as a VIMES fan. Or Hot Chip, who brought VIMES along with them for their Central America tour last year. But you know what? We don‘t give a fuck. Even if Madonna were announce that she never does a bikram session without listening to VIMES, we don't care.
The only thing we care about is that the duo, consisting of Azhar Syed and Julian Stetter, make great house music. The proof's in the pudding with their new video for "House Of Deer" consisting mostly of live footage from concerts they played in Berlin and Mexico.
Written & produced by Julian Stetter & Azhar Syed
Upcoming single out through Humming Records/Rough Trade
Shot at locations in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cholula (Mexico), Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Halle (Germany) featuring additional visuals by Till Beutling (Klangfiguren)
Shot by: Max Motel, Marc Gerz & VIMES

Creepy cloth masks, a conjured quasi-Jesus, taxidermied animals and a whirling dervish babe with daddy issues—Swedish-Belgian duo Victoria+Jean go all out weird.

Chela throws down in her local late-night, post-party, fuck-I'm-drunk-and-hungry hangspot.
Scarfo whips a Porsche 911 (obviously), dines at Baohaus (shouts out to VICE pal Eddie Huang!), and catches up with Prodigy in the downstairs office for some under-the-table dealmaking.
One for fans of BANKS, Lorde, and Josef Salvat—this London-born, New Zealand-based teenager makes almost drowning look rather poetic.
The Auckland trio who say they are "fundamentally a punk band" move into broodier territory.
