This slinking record cover could have worked for countless electronic indie groups from the early 90's to present day, but instead it was used for a compilation of 70's film music from India.

Op art (or optical art) is a style of visual art that creates optical illusions. This can be really interesting as well as really, really sickening. Here are a few of my favorite examples of op art used on album covers. I apologize in advance for the headache.
