Skrillex Stopped His Fiji Show So This Guy Could Propose to His Girlfriend on Stage

He helped a couple named Malcolm and Jess get engaged at the Your Paradise festival; they celebrated by crowdsurfing.

In order for a club night to be successful, dancers have to be able to put at least a little trust in the DJ. There are the rare instances, though, when artists go above and beyond and do a little bit more for their audience than simply read the room and adjust their set accordingly. OWSLA boss Skrillex had one of those moments last week, when he facilitated a marriage proposal onstage during his December 13 performance at Fiji festival Your Paradise.

Whereas you can't really imagine most professional DJs ever doing something like this, Sonny Moore clearly enjoyed it enthusiastically, and the moment is actually pretty sweet to watch.

Telling the crowd he wants to stop the show to "celebrate love" for a moment, Moore asks the groom-to-be, named Malcolm, to introduce himself. After a short speech, he asks his partner Jess to come onstage, and while she makes her way up Moore leads the crowd in chanting her name. After she delightedly says yes, Moore plays a remix of Jack Ü's "Where Are Ü Now" with Justin Bieber, and the lovebirds crowdsurf. Beautiful.

OWSLA hosted a special cruise during the festival, and at one point pulled off a pretty impressive mannequin challenge on the crowded ship.
