Hey San Francisco, Come Hang Out with Best Coast

Sonny & the Sunsets, Meatbodies, and everyone cool will be there.

Music is so sweet. Our friends over at JanSport understand this basic fact about human existance, so that's why they've decided to invite you—if you're lucky enough to be in San Francisco on October 4 from 5 to 11 PM—to see some of Noisey's favorite artists, Best Coast, Sonny & the Sunsets, and Meatbodies. Check out who these people are below (even though you probably already know, because they're sweet), and be sure to watch the Montreal performance with Mac Demarco. RSVP here!

Best Coast
With her jangly, stripped-down guitar pop, Bethany Cosentino helped define the sound of a new wave of laid-back indie rock over the last half-decade. Casual, intimate, and direct in its lyricism, Best Coast is music for every day life and a celebration of Californian culture.

Sonny & the Sunsets
Sonny & the Sunsets don’t just have the name of a band that you’d want to listen on a lazy afternoon; they also have the sound. The San Francisco band’s upbeat garage folk is warm and instantly familiar, blending the casual attitude of 90s indie rock with the lush composition of 60s pop. With tightly written, far-ranging lyrics, it’s perfect music for back porch hangouts and campfire sing-alongs.

Meatbodies
The heavy, swirling psych garage project of LA’s Chad Ubovich, Meatbodies make ripping anthems for the weirdest bar sing-alongs you’ll ever have. The guitars shred, the drums crush, and the overall effect is a giant wallop of turned up noise.
