Did These New South Whales Just Get A Whole Lot More Angsty?

The Sydney garage rockers premiere the video/threat “Mumma’s Tit”

Starting off as "four cocky underdogs from Newcastle" These New South Whales have developed into four cocky underdogs living in Sydney and plying their garage-punk trade while wearing gaffer tape over their nipples.

“Mumma’s Tit” is the first release from their upcoming EP, Fetal Instincts which was played, tracked, recorded and mixed live in one room by Dean Tuza and mastered by Mikey Young.

The video acts as a visual threat to some of the band’s detractors; a menacing poke in the eye that features footage of nunchucks, burly body builders and a cat running in an exercise wheel.

We had a chat to the band’s Jamie Timony about flexing some muscle.

Noisey: The song was written about people who have taken some cheap shots at you. Are you able to name and shame?
Jamie Timony:**** Yeah they were in a band called The Farts. They're all dead now. They were just blowing off some steam. Full credit to the boys.

Bodybuilders feature prominently in the video. Have we have passed the golden age of bronze brawn?
We've definitely passed it. It's kind of gross huh? Although they say that everything makes a comeback. So what would we know?

The same could be said for nunchucks.
Yeah, they're making a comeback for us. We love fucking around with them backstage. They're pretty dangerous man and we're all pretty handy with them, so look out. They're my favourite baby puppies.

You are heading to Victoria for NYE. What are your expectations? Boozy?
Victoria's cool. We're skipping Melbourne and heading straight for the hills on NYE. It's going to be boozy, bloody and boobsy! The whole muscle.
